You have decided to move to a more powerful and more efficient car, but you are curious how a visit to us actually goes? At AMC Motorsport Brasov, transparency is as important as performance.
Here is the complete flow of an appointment, so that you know exactly what you are paying for and how we make sure you leave with a safe car.
Step 1: Reception and computer diagnostics
Everything starts with a conversation about your goals and a complete fault scan of the car.
- Why do we do it? We do not remap cars with hidden mechanical faults. We check the parameters of the turbo, the injection and emissions systems, the air intake, etc. If everything is "green", we move on.
Step 2: The "before" dyno measurement (baseline power)
We put the car on the Bapro dyno to see how many horsepower it still has "under the bonnet" in its current condition.
- Surprise: Sometimes cars come in with fewer or more horsepower than stated in the registration certificate. It is essential to know the starting point in order to measure the real gain at the end.
Step 3: Reading and optimising the software (custom remapping)
We connect the reading equipment (through the OBD socket or directly on the bench, depending on the model) and read the car's original software.
- We do not use copy-paste files. Our engineers modify the injection and pressure maps and the torque limiters specifically for your engine, respecting the mechanical safety margins.
Step 4: Writing and testing on the dyno (the "after" measurement)
We load the new software and run a new series of tests on the dyno.
- Real-time monitoring: We watch how the car reacts under full load. If the power curve is not perfect, we make fine adjustments until we get the ideal result: power delivered linearly, without surges.
Step 5: Road test and handover
Once we are happy with the figures on the graph, we can do a final road test to make sure the car behaves flawlessly in real traffic conditions.
